COAST GRAPHICS MEDIA ANNOUNCES DONATIONS TO TEN NON-PROFITS
JUNE 2004

Diana Martin, owner of Coast Graphics Media, celebrates ten years of business in Lincoln County by announcing the winners of the Top Ten Non-Profit Contest, which was voted upon by the public. Ten hours of professional services will be donated to each of ten local non-profit organizations. The total donation represents 100 hours at a total of $7500 for professional services.

The ten lucky non-profit organizations are from all around the county and represent a wide array of services to the community. Contest rules stated that a minimum of one non-profit from each area of the county–north, south, east and central–would be selected.

In Lincoln City, He’s My Brother, a new homeless shelter, and Tech Zone/Gamers Sanctum, the only youth center in the area, were the north county winners.

In Newport, the American Red Cross; CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), the organization that provides court advocates for children; Lincoln County Food Share, providing food aid to the county; Lincoln County Humane Society, providing services for lost and unwanted animals; My Sister’s Place, a domestic violence intervention shelter; and Shangri-La Corporation in South Beach, providing housing and employment services for developmentally disabled adults, were selected. All of these non-profits serve Lincoln County as a whole; in this sense, everyone wins.

In East County, the Siletz Valley Friends of the Library was the overwhelming nominee. This organization is working to build a new library for the community. The group mobilized its supporters and made the Friends the most-voted-for organization in the entire county.

White Wolf Sanctuary in Tidewater also recognized the opportunity presented by this contest and solicited its supporters to vote. It was the organization with the second highest number of votes and represents the south county winner.

“It was fun and exciting to see the votes come in and to see what people are passionate about,” said Martin. “When the idea for this contest, this giving back to the community, came about, I had a hard time choosing from the many worthwhile and hard-working non-profit organizations. The solution became a vote by the public. I’m very pleased with the response overall.”

The winning non-profits will have one year to complete their project. Any service provided by Coast Graphics Media can be utilized: marketing assistance and consultation, publicity, copywriting, brochure development, logo design, just to name a few possibilities.

Coast Graphics Media is located at 733 NW 1st Street in the Nye Beach area of Newport. Martin works by appointment throughout Lincoln County and can be contacted at 265-4655, or on the web at www.coastgraphics.com.
