| RED OCTOPUS THEATRE COMPANY Full Color Promotional Poster --------- What a wonderful opportunity to create a Shakespearean poster for a local theatre company's production of Macbeth. The simple image and use of red conveys the sinister plot, centered around the murderous Macbeth. Wth scores of bloodshed by the sword, the use of high contrast photography in shadow denotes intense drama. Photographer Nancy Jane Reid's image is bold and dynamic. The composition of the poster is deliberately brought to the foreground, with the title "Macbeth" bleeding off of the edges. The use of the Old English font ties the piece to the period of Europe in which the play is set. --------- |
